How much does a renovation cost?
Every job is different. We quote in writing after walking the site. The number we agree on is the number you pay. No ballpark, no surprises.
Do I need finished plans to get a quote?
No. A rough scope and a few photos is plenty. We'll come out, walk the space, and send a written fixed-price quote within a few days.
How long does the work take?
It depends on the scope. A bathroom can be two weeks. A full apartment refurbishment runs six to ten. We give you a timeline before we start and stick to it.
Are you licensed and insured?
Yes. gutted. is a registered building practitioner with full public liability cover. We can show you the paperwork before we start.
Do you use a formal building contract?
Yes. Every project is completed under a signed domestic building contract, a legal requirement in Victoria for any building work over $16,000. It locks in the price, scope, timeline and workmanship before we lift a finger. You get a copy, we keep a copy. No handshake deals.
Will the site be liveable during the job?
Yes. We clean up at the end of every day and keep the disruption contained. We've had clients living in the apartment throughout.
What if something isn't right after you finish?
We come back. Our workmanship is backed in writing. If something's not right, we fix it, no runaround, no charge.
